Puron: R-410A
A new refrigerant was needed to protect the environment.
The air conditioning trade settled on the refrigerant
410A better known as Puron as the new standard
refrigerant used in central air conditioning equipment.
At Classic Air Conditioning Inc. we are also concerned
about our environment as our number 1 concern but we
also want what is most beneficial in cost and efficiency
performance. The great news is that for new
installations that use the Puron refrigerant, being
properly charged, having the correct line sizes, and
making sure the system is free of any particulates such
as air.. Puron has shown to have a 5-6% higher Energy
Efficiency Rating (EER) than R-22. Puron also has a
higher capacity and pressure than R-22, allowing for the
design of smaller, more compact air conditioning
equipment to reach a higher efficiency that is now
standard in the USA. These higher pressures meant
redesign of 3 key parts to an air conditioning system.
The compressor, condensing coil, and evaporator coil are
now designed to be more sturdy to hold up to the new
refrigerant pressure demand. Puron related compressors
have been shown to have less first year warranty defects
then its counter part the R-22 Compressor. With the
higher standard, thicker metal casing of the Puron
Compressor it is less noisy too!
Sometimes new is better. Puron
is not new, howver, to Bryant Air Conditioners. Bryant has been
making Puron systems for 12 years!! They have refined
their systems over these past 12 years while the
competition is just now starting to manufacture units
with this new standard in refrigerants. At Classic we
also have the experience with Puron! We actually believe
so much in Puron it is very hard for us to sell you any
thing less! Call us with your questions! We will be glad
to let our experience answer your questions with our
real world facts on this new standard in Freon!
